Very Honorable Mentions

When I think about it, I should've made that seven albums. How could I leave out...

Exit...Stage Left - Rush How could I leave out Rush's Exit...Stage Left? I only pull this one out every few years, but that's no comment on its quality, that's just how special it is. It's like fine China that only comes out for the most important of occasions.

I knew "Tom Sawyer," of course, but when I heard "Jacob's Ladder," "The Trees" and "Xanadu," I was overwhelmed. Those are three more of my favorite songs of all time. Every time a thunderstorm begins in Atlanta and I'm out driving, I find myself singing "Jacob's Ladder" to myself, guitar solo and all. "Follow men's eyes as they look to the skies/the shifting shafts of shining weave the fabric of their dreams." One of the best lines from a song ever.

Like The Who, I think this live album stands way above any of Rush's studio albums, even though I have those, too.

April 25, 1999 - Day By the River This isn't really an album, but a bootleg of a radio appearance by the Athens, Georgia band Day By the River. I've listened to this hour-long set multiple times, and never get tired of it, even though I've got every bass drum kick and bass slap memorized by now. Recently I uploaded this on the torrent site Dime a Dozen.org, and am quite pleased to keep their music alive.

Okay, I think that really would cover my most favoritests now.
