11 Alive is "Curious" / Alicea Davis

11 Alive is "Curious"

When I bought my first-ever dirty magazine in 1989, I was unsettled to find that in the back there were two or three ads featuring bare-chested guys with 800 numbers and the headline, "Are you curious?" My answer was a resounding, "No!" I didn't buy a magazine full of tits to get into dicks, thank you.

Much like the post I wrote a few moons ago about the coarsening of our public discourse, this "curious" concept is the latest bit of back-alley trashiness to make it into the mainstream. Every time I turn on NBC lately there's another newsperson from the Atlanta affiliate, 11 Alive, asking me if I'm "curious"! They attempt to ease my discomfort by confessing that they are curious. So far Brenda Wood, Karyn Greer and Paul Ossman have all come out of the closet about their latent curiosity in these commercials. They then invite me to visit 11 Alive.com, where I suppose my curiosity is supposed to finally be satisfied.

Well I would like to take this opportunity to tell 11 Alive I'm having none of it! I'm not in the least bit "curious," and Ossman, Wood and Greer can keep news of their deviant frolics to themselves, if they don't mind! I invite all five of my readers to join me in adding 11 Alive.com to their Net Nanny blacklist.

Alicea Davis

Now here's something I am curious about. Is that picture to the left about the hottest thing you've ever seen in your life or what? That is Alicea Davis from the TV show The Baby Borrowers. No, I don't mark my TV Guide for shows about teens raising toddlers, The Office is more my style, but when I saw Ms. Davis on the screen, I just had to stop and take her in!

The producers obviously had reasons for casting her in the show aside from the fact she was interested in seeing what it would be like to have kids. Almost every shot of her was down her shirt, or revealed some thong rising about the waistline of her jeans, or showed off her smokin' legs in shorts. Great TV, and a great way to add a 2% male viewership to the 98% female viewership of The Baby Borrowers.

Ms. Davis is 18 so, yes, she's just slightly less than half my age. Biologically I could be her father. Gee...I guess I should stop ogling...not!

I hope television moguls have recognized Ms. Davis' great looks and are planning things for her beyond The Baby Borrowers. Someone has to fill the bikini bottoms of yesteryear's Carmen Electra, Kari Wuhrer and Daisy Fuentes, and I think Alicea Davis is a great choice.

More hot Alicea Davis pics here.

Alicea Davis is fine as hell...

I'd like a piece of Raven-Symone too.

YOW! I didn't know Raven Symone had it in her! (Heh, she OUGHTA have it in her...had to go for an obvious joke.) She doesn't fit the usual bony profile of today's starlets, but she indeed has an allure.

I don't know why I don't see hot Mexican chicks like Alicea Davis behind the counter at my local Burger King, but then there was a chica at Bojangle's who was smokin'.

I haven't seen one of Channel 11's "curious" commercials in a few days. I guess they ended that silly campaign, so now nobody knows what I was talking about.

Maybe Channel 11's curiosity was, um, "satisfied," to go for the cheap yuk.
