One of my New Year's resolutions was that I was going to take this blog more seriously. That meant adding some ads so it would look like I had something going on, updating three times weekly just like a newspaper columnist, and keeping griping about my personal issues to a minimum and instead writing about more general-interest topics.
Getting serious also meant I would enroll in blogging competitions. This evening I have done that: I have nominated myself for a
Blogger's Choice Award. I'm competing in the overcrowded categories of Best Humor Blog (oh, the belly laughs I provide!), Best Blog About Stuff (if you need stuff, get it here!), Best Pop Culture Blog (obviously supreme) and Best Blog Ever (this one will be a cinch).
Now that I've nominated myself,
I need all five of my readers to vote for me. With six votes total, I'll kick the ass of the entire blogosphere.
