As a Fun Friday post, I'm spotlighting friends of mine who work themselves to the bone to provide you with great entertainment. If you're like me, you'll be amazed at the polish of their productions.
Let's first look at the work of Geoff, a.k.a. Scroll, and his show "The Frustrated Rockstars." Not only is this show available on YouTube, but you can often hear Geoff and his pal Justin on XM/Sirius' "Miserable Men Show" on Howard 101, too!
I met our sometime-commenter BClark71 via a radio industry chat board. Radio is dead, but BClark71 broadcasts on, or rather, podcasts on. Check out The National Hit Music Survey.
Back when I was in the great Zen, I had been listening to The Rolling Stones' Exile on Mainstreet a lot and decided our band needed some saxophone. So I went to see the college jazz band, walked up to one of the saxophonists, and invited him to drive way out of his way and ply his craft on my songs for no pay. Chris Thomas agreed. I worship this man for his generosity, and now you can, too! Take a look at The Church of Chris Thomas.
Also, check out this sing-along video and share Chris' "exploding joy." How would you describe that? It's like Devo goes to church!
And thanks for acknowledging the production values. We have NO money and NO staff, but it keeps getting better somehow.
