I will leave it to my reader to decide what should be done to
the security guard who dumped a paraplegic man out of his wheelchair. Actually what will be done has already been done: she (yes, that's a woman!) was suspended without pay, then charged with abuse of a disabled person and released after paying $3,500 bail. Kind of a light sentence, in my opinion.
This isn't an isolated incident, either. After searching for this story on Google and Yahoo! I found other stories of
police shooting paraplegics and
all sorts of things.
Maybe I'm just over-affected by what I see on the news, but all the time lately I see things that make me wonder what kind of world our children our being brought into. Has it always been like this?
What
should have been done here?
