Another Goody
|
|
Perhaps I'm carried away.
Just bought this on E-Bay. It's a Carvin X100B amp from the early 1980's. These things are said to "out-Marshall a Marshall." That's good, because the sophisticated ears of my vast listening audience would settle for nothing less.
With a few squirts of Armor All this should look like new. The only thing that concerns me is that the previous owner said the lower input jack was "sometimes scratchy." So I guess I'll just use the upper input jack. If it's that bad, I bet it's a low-cost repair to get it re-soldered or replaced.
I sold my crappy Marshall Valvestate last week in anticipation of grabbing the next one of these that came up on E-Bay, so I did. Yay for me! |
