Yeah, so, who needs Guitar World or Classic Rock magazines? I'll just start my own Web page! Except...
Well...on You Tube I run across all sorts of stunning guitarists. Most recently I came across
this guy. He's a fine example of someone about whom I would love to write an article. Take a look at that link. How has that guy avoided stardom? Shouldn't he be touring with his own band, or as a replacement guitarist in some `70's or `80's rock n' roll band? What the hell is his story? I'd like to find out and bring it to the people,
Mike Varney style.
However, I made a thread about that guy on the Van Halen page, and it got...one comment. One. Thirty-two views, but only one comment. Ho-hum. Should I expend vast amounts of time making up a page only to draw
one comment? I'm on the fence.
And here I go sliding off the other side of the fence. So I do the work, and it gets one comment. Right now it's getting
no comments, because it doesn't exist. Wouldn't one comment be better than none? Wouldn't the whole exercise be more profitable than staring slack-jawed into space?
What if it takes off, and I start getting ads from music stores, and companies send me stuff to review, and suddenly I can't even get to the bathroom because my living quarters are so full of free, boutique guitar gear?
Can someone please steady my see-saw?
